Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Blessings dear friends. This page links to a series of my blog posts in which I hoped to encourage as many souls as possible to enter into the writings of Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta, an extraordinary mystic and victim soul to whom Jesus gave magnificent teachings about His glorious plan for our time. Jesus dictated to Luisa, who had only a first grade education, 36 volumes of sublime teachings which explain why and how He is calling us to cooperate in His plan, the fulfillment of the Our Father prayer through the Gift of Living in the Divine Will. He titled Luisa’s writings, “The Book of Heaven: The Call of the Creature to the Order, the Place and the Purpose for which He Was Created by God.”
These blog posts are a brief introduction to Luisa, the content of her writings, their canonical standing, etc. I include links to some of the excellent resources, teachers and guides that have helped me and many others along the way. We are living in a very rich time for learning about this “New and Divine Holiness”. The quantity and quality of resources are increasing rapidly as Luisa’s cause for canonization progresses.
Luisa’s teachings on the Divine Will are a breathtaking dive into the Divine Heart. The Lord calls us, not because we are saints, but because his strength is made perfect in weakness. He invites us saying, “I’m really good at making something out of nothing. Come and see.”
Please join me and many others throughout the world in diving into the infinite Holy Divine Will—the diving board beckons. But perhaps we say, “Lord, you know I can’t swim and I’m afraid of water.” He says, “Give me your nothingness and I will give you my All-ness. Let me do!” It is all Him, so let us, with Mary, give Him our fiat and dive in!
The Lord will infuse us with his Divine Breath, according to our choice, but how deep we go is up to us. Will we jump once and make a clean dive, but out of fear not go very deep? Or placing all our trust in Him, will we bounce, once, twice, three times to a great height and plunge as deep as we can go?
Fr. Robert Young speaks about a retreat he once gave at a convent to introduce the nuns to the Gift of Living in the Divine Will. At one point an 80-year-old nun came up to him and said with emotion, “I always knew God had something more for me.” This, after years of convent life! God be praised!
So let these blog posts be your diving board, a simple instrument to help you plunge into the deep. I invite you to climb the ladder and take the leap. May God grant us every grace to dive into the limitless depths of His Holy Divine Will. Fiat!
Every athlete exercises discipline in every way. They do it to win a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one. (1 Cor 9:25)
